Rating Criteria
Keratitis, active: With photophobia, lacrimation, and interference with vision not sufficient to reduce visual acuity below 20/40; or inactive keratitis with residual scarring not interfering with vision.
Note: When keratitis causes visual acuity loss, rate under visual acuity codes.
Keratitis, active: With severe photophobia, lacrimation, blepharospasm, and visual acuity reduced to 20/100 or worse in the affected eye.
