Chronic adjustment disorder: Mild occupational and social impairment; symptoms controlled with medication; able to function in routine work and social activities with minor difficulty.
Note: Rated under the General Rating Formula for Mental Disorders. Chronic = 6 months or more after stressor ends.
Chronic adjustment disorder: Occasional decrease in work efficiency with intermittent inability to perform tasks; depression or anxiety with panic attacks (weekly or less); sleep impairment.
Chronic adjustment disorder: Reduced reliability and productivity at work; difficulty with complex tasks; impaired memory, judgment, and motivation; panic attacks more than once per week.
Chronic adjustment disorder: Deficiencies in most areas of functioning; near-continuous depression or anxiety; impaired impulse control; suicidal ideation; inability to maintain effective work relationships.
