Incomplete paralysis of upper radicular group (C5-C6): Mild. Slight weakness of shoulder abduction, external rotation, and elbow flexion; reduced grip but functional; minor sensory deficit in lateral arm and forearm.
Note: Upper radicular group affects deltoid, biceps, brachialis, brachioradialis.
Incomplete paralysis of upper radicular group (C5-C6): Moderate. Significant weakness of shoulder and elbow; impaired ability to raise arm above head; moderate sensory loss; functional limitations in daily activities.
Severe; 50
Incomplete paralysis of upper radicular group (C5-C6): Severe. Marked weakness with inability to raise arm; significant functional impairment of upper extremity; marked sensory loss; arm hangs in classic "waiter's tip" position.
Complete; all shoulder and elbow movements lost or severely affected, hand and wrist movements not affected; 70
Complete paralysis of upper radicular group (C5-C6): Total loss of function of shoulder and elbow musculature; complete sensory loss in distribution; arm essentially non-functional.
