THE TOOLS
What it covers
Each tool is read only, free, and needs no account. Your assistant shows you the title and calls the tool by the name beside it.
- Read a VA regulation section
get_regulation_sectionReturns the text of one 38 CFR Part 3 (adjudication) or Part 4 (rating schedule) section from a dated eCFR snapshot, with its eCFR link, labelled complete, excerpt (one page of a long section) or unavailable; a 38 U.S.C. citation returns a link to that section of the U.S. Code only.
- Read a rating schedule entry
get_rating_schedule_entryReturns the published 38 CFR Part 4 criteria for one four-digit diagnostic code, every published level with the general rating formula that governs it, its table notes, the eCFR link and the snapshot date. An entry the server cannot serve whole, such as DC 8045, whose criteria are a table it does not carry, is labelled excerpt with a note and the eCFR link; a code outside the supported set is reported as not served here.
- List presumptive conditions
list_presumptive_conditionsReturns the complete published list for one presumptive program, such as Agent Orange, burn pits under the PACT Act or Camp Lejeune water, with its governing 38 CFR or 38 U.S.C. citation, its source link and the published service, location, date and manifestation qualifiers.
- Get the VA compensation rate table
get_compensation_rate_tableReturns the complete published 2026 VA disability compensation tables (effective December 1, 2025), every rating and dependent-status row with the added amounts, and the VA.gov source; only 2026 is served.
INPUTS
What a tool takes
Every input picks a published document. None describes a person: there is no free text, and no field for a name, a rating, a date, a symptom or a record.

What it is, and what it is not
The same lines the server itself is built to.
No account or sign-in
There is nothing to create, nothing to sign in to, and no key to hold. The address is public on purpose.
No personal information held
There is no account and no access to any VA record, the server reads only its own published reference files, and tools take selectors only. Standard request metadata, such as your IP address, is kept in server logs.
What the logs holdReference, not a decision
Results are general reference information from published sources. They are not a rating decision, an eligibility determination or legal advice, and the published criteria do not predict the rating VA will assign. VA decides each claim on its own record.
For your own claim, VeteranHQPublished sources, dated
Text and tables come from eCFR, VA.gov and the U.S. Code at GPO govinfo. Every result names its source and states the date its data is current as of, where that date is known.

VeteranHQ is an independent product of Silicon Vanguard LLC. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
QUESTIONS
Straight answers
It is a free, public MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Once you add it, your AI assistant can read published VA disability reference material, the 38 CFR regulation text, the rating schedule criteria, the presumptive lists and the 2026 compensation rate tables, on VeteranHQ’s servers and cite what came back, instead of answering from memory.
No. There is no account, no key and no sign-in step. Add the address to your assistant and start asking.
It needs no account, it cannot reach any VA record, and it accepts only a citation, a diagnostic code, a program, a page number or a year, never free text. The value chosen still reaches the server, so the server asks assistants to look up only what you ask for, and the arguments of a request are not logged or saved. Like every request to VeteranHQ, a request leaves standard request metadata, including the IP address it came from and the client’s user agent, in our server logs, as section 15.2 of our privacy policy describes.
No. It returns the published criteria, lists and tables as general reference information. They are not a rating decision, an eligibility determination or legal advice, and they do not predict the rating VA will assign. For your own claim, use veteranhq.app.
Not yet. ChatGPT support waits on OpenAI's directory review, which every ChatGPT listing goes through first. Claude, Claude Code and other clients that add a remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP can use it today.
Working on your own VA claim?
This server reads published reference material only. For your own claim, ratings or records, use veteranhq.app, or the separate VeteranHQ connector, which can read your own VA record only after you approve it.
