Andersen AFB in Guam offers Space-Available (Space-A) flights: free military travel for eligible passengers, including active-duty members on leave, retirees, and 100% permanently and totally disabled veterans, who are seated by priority category at roll call. This page tracks Space-A departures from Andersen AFB, pulled from the official Air Mobility Command 72-hour outlook and refreshed every 15 minutes. Seats are never guaranteed until roll call.
Flight Schedule
New to Space-A? What these words mean
- Roll call
- The headcount the terminal takes before each flight. Be standing at the counter by this time, usually 2 to 3 hours before takeoff. Miss it and you lose your seat, even if you signed up first.
- Firm vs. Tentative seats
- Firm = officially released, real seats. Tentative = a planning estimate that often vanishes at roll call. Don’t build a trip around a Tentative flight.
- TBD seats
- 'To Be Determined.' The seat count isn't announced yet. A number here is never a reservation; seats are handed out at roll call by priority.
- Priority categories (Cat I–VI)
- Seats fill in priority order. Categories I through V (emergencies, active-duty leave) board first. Cat VI, which covers retirees, their families, and 100% P&T disabled veterans, boards last. A full-looking flight can still have zero seats left for Cat VI.
- Duty travelers only
- The flight is for people on official orders only. Regular Space-A passengers can't board it even if it shows open seats.
- SOFA only
- Status of Forces Agreement. Only travelers with that legal status, tied to orders in that country, can board.
- P&T
- Permanent and Total, a VA rating that's both 100% and not expected to improve. It's a separate determination from a plain 100% rating, and it's what makes a disabled veteran Space-A eligible.
- 72-hour outlook
- The official flight schedule each terminal publishes, covering roughly the next 3 days. Flights further out simply aren't posted yet.
- AFPIMS / official terminal page
- The terminal's own official page, the source we pull from. Go there for sign-up steps and hours.
All times are Guam local time (GMT+10), the clock at the terminal, not your phone’s time zone.

Space A Travel from Andersen AFB: Common Questions
How do I sign up for Space A flights from Andersen AFB?
You can sign up for Space A travel at Andersen AFB Passenger Terminal in person at the Passenger Service Counter, or by following the sign-up instructions on their AFPIMS page. Many terminals also accept email sign-ups with your name, DoD ID, eligibility category, and desired destinations. Sign-ups are valid for 60 days. Visit the Andersen AFB AFPIMS page for their current sign-up procedures and hours of operation.
How often is the Andersen AFB Space A schedule updated?
Andersen AFB Passenger Terminal publishes its 72-hour outlook on a manual cadence through the official AMC AFPIMS system. VeteranHQ pulls the published PDF every 15 minutes and surfaces new flights within minutes of publication. Gaps of 1 to 6 days between updates are normal, and reflect AMC's publishing patterns rather than a data error. The freshness indicator on this page shows when the most recent PDF was published.
What is the Space A roll call process at Andersen AFB?
At roll call, the Passenger Service Agent calls passengers by priority category, then by sign-up date within each category. Categories I through V are called before Category VI (retired dependents and 100% P&T disabled veterans). You must be present at roll call time, typically 2 to 3 hours before departure, though Andersen AFB may have specific procedures. If you miss roll call, you lose your position for that flight.
What documents do I need for Space A travel?
Required documents depend on your eligibility category. At minimum, bring a current military ID, retiree card, or VA 100% P&T letter. For international travel, bring a valid passport and any required visas. Retirees with dependents need dependent ID cards. Bring your Space A sign-up confirmation. Contact the terminal directly for destination-specific requirements, since some countries require special entry documentation even for military travelers.
Can my spouse or dependents travel Space A without me?
Dependents of active duty service members can travel unaccompanied under certain conditions (command-sponsored ID, EML orders). Dependents of retirees generally may not travel unaccompanied on Space A unless the retiree is also traveling. Dependents of 100% P&T disabled veterans are not automatically eligible unless the veteran is also a military retiree. Rules vary, so confirm with the specific terminal Passenger Service Agent.
What does “Firm” mean on a Space-A flight schedule?
Confirmed seats. The crew has officially released these, so make roll call and you have a real shot at getting on.
What does “Tentative” mean for Space-A seats?
A planning estimate, not a promise. These seats often disappear at roll call, so don't build a trip around a Tentative flight.
What does “SOFA only” mean on a Space-A flight?
Only travelers covered by a Status of Forces Agreement can board. That's the legal status that lets U.S. military personnel be stationed in a country, so if you don't have orders there, this flight isn't for you.
What is a Space-A roll call?
The headcount the terminal takes before each flight. Be standing at the counter by this time, usually 2 to 3 hours before takeoff. Miss it and you lose your seat, even if you signed up first.
