You can sign up for Space A travel at JB Elmendorf-Richardson Passenger Terminal in person at the Passenger Service Counter, or by following the sign-up instructions on their AFPIMS page. Many terminals also accept email sign-ups with your name, DoD ID, eligibility category, and desired destinations. Sign-ups are valid for 60 days. JB Elmendorf-Richardson Passenger Terminal publishes its 72-hour outlook on a manual cadence through the official AMC AFPIMS system. At roll call, the Passenger Service Agent calls passengers by priority category, then by sign-up date within each category. Categories I through V are called before Category VI (retired dependents and 100% P&T disabled veterans). You must be present at roll call time, typically 2 to 3 hours before departure, though JB Elmendorf-Richardson may have specific procedures. If you miss roll call, you lose your position for that flight.

Required documents depend on your eligibility category. At minimum, bring a current military ID, retiree card, or VA 100% P&T letter. Only travelers covered by a Status of Forces Agreement can board. That's the legal status that lets U.S. military personnel be stationed in a country, so if you don't have orders there, this flight isn't for you.

The headcount the terminal takes before each flight. Be standing at the counter by this time, usually 2 to 3 hours before takeoff. Miss it and you lose your seat, even if you signed up first.
