THE TOOLS

What it covers

Each tool is read only, free, and needs no account. Your assistant shows you the title and calls the tool by the name beside it.

  1. Search Space-A flightssearch_space_a_flights

    Lists upcoming or recent Space-A flights by origin terminal or destination location code from the currently published AMC schedules, a snapshot that states its time, so confirm with the terminal before you travel.

  2. List Space-A terminalslist_space_a_terminals

    Lists the AMC passenger terminals that publish Space-A schedules, by region, with each one’s location code, time zone and official page.

  3. Browse veteran programsbrowse_benefits

    Lists education, home loan, employment, state, tax and recreation programs for veterans and families by category and state, as general program information.

  4. Look up a BAH ratelookup_bah_rate

    Returns the 2026 monthly Basic Allowance for Housing rate by ZIP code or housing area for supported pay grades (E-1 to O-7, including warrant officers and O-1E to O-3E), with or without dependents, from the published DoD tables.

  5. Search benefit guidessearch_benefit_guides

    Lists VeteranHQ’s reviewed guides by topic, currently the GI Bill.

  6. Read a benefit guideget_benefit_guide

    Reads one VeteranHQ guide in full by its slug, with its sources and the date it was last reviewed.

INSTALL

Connect it

Paste one address. There is no key to hold and no sign-in step, in any client.

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.

  2. Choose Add custom connector, name it VeteranHQ Benefits & Travel, and paste the server URL.

  3. Press Add. There is no sign-in, so it is ready to use.

BOUNDARIES

What it is, and what it is not

The same lines the server itself is built to.

  • No account or sign-in

    There is nothing to create, nothing to sign in to, and no key to hold. The address is public on purpose.

  • No personal data in requests

    No account, no access to any VA record, and tool requests carry no personal information. Standard request metadata, such as your IP address, is kept in server logs.

  • No health information

    This server has no health, medical or disability information. For a VA disability claim, use the claims MCP server.

  • General information

    Program details are general information from public sources, not a determination that you qualify. The agency that runs a program decides.

  • Space-A is a snapshot

    Flights come from the published terminal schedules at the time of the snapshot, and they change. Seats are never guaranteed, so confirm with the terminal before you travel.

  • Not affiliated

    VeteranHQ is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense or Air Mobility Command.

QUESTIONS

Straight answers

  • It is a free, public MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Once you add it, your AI assistant can look up Space-A flights and terminals, veterans benefits programs, BAH rates and VeteranHQ guides on VeteranHQ’s servers and report what came back, instead of answering from memory.

  • No. There is no account, no key and no sign-in step. Add the address to your assistant and start asking.

  • It needs no account, it cannot reach any VA record, and tool requests carry no personal information, only choices such as a terminal, a region, a state, a ZIP code or a pay grade. Like every request to VeteranHQ, a request leaves standard request metadata, including the IP address it came from and the client’s user agent, in our server logs, as section 15.2 of our privacy policy describes.

  • They come from the most recently published terminal schedules, a snapshot, and every answer states the time of that snapshot. Schedules change often and seats are never guaranteed, so confirm with the terminal before you travel.

  • The server is pending directory review for ChatGPT. Claude, Claude Code and other clients that add a remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP can use it today.
